2025 SUMMER MATTERS APPLICATIONS OPEN APRIL 1, 2025! 

Exciting Summer Learning Awaits! 

Please note that the applications for Summer Matters and the Expanded Learning school year program look very similar. Each student needs to submit one application for Summer and one for the school year—applications do not roll over. (Only for students currently attending the 24-25 school year). 

What is Summer Matters?
-Exposure to new experiences through hands-on learning
-Academic instruction to minimize learning gaps & prevent summer learning loss
-Cooperative & collaborative learning opportunities
-Engagement with community learning partners
-Development of social & emotional skills
-Daily physical activity to keep students moving
-Breakfast & lunch provided daily

Community School Model – Each Summer Matters @ SCUSD site will serve as a community school, allowing students from any SCUSD school to enroll at their preferred site!

Please note: Families are responsible for their own transportation to and from the program.

Key Dates-
Program Length: June 23-July 25
Time: Mon-Fri 8:00am-5:00pm 
Applications open: April 1, 2025
Application due date: April 30, 2025
Parent Notifications: Starting May 12-June 6, 2025
